The Covid-19 pandemic has swept across the globe and changed how a lot of us live our daily lives. One thing hasn’t changed though: our love for coffee. For most of us coffee drinkers, we miss our strolls at all times of the day to our favourite cafés and the delicious coffee we’d find there. Since coffee shops and cafés will not be opening any time soon, it’s time you learned how to make the perfect coffee at home. Because, with the right quality coffee, it’s perfectly achievable!
Espresso Machine
If you have an espresso machine or are looking to buy one, especially because of lockdown, ensure you assess the quality of their delivery and whether they take ground coffee or coffee beans so that you can buy their accompanying products. If you enjoy lattes, cappuccinos and other milk drinks, ensure the machine has a milk steamer so that you can enjoy these coffee shop classics from the comfort of your home.
Perfecting the Milk
Creating your favourite milk-based coffees does require some practice. For lattes, for example, you’ll want to steam the milk by using the steamer just below the surface of the milk to warm the milk through – the perfect temperature typically is just too hot to handle! For froth, bubbles, a creamier texture or a cappuccino top, you’ll want to lower the jug to lift the steamer just a little out of the milk to ‘rip’ air through the milk and create that foam you love.
Coffee Capsule Machines
Coffee capsule machines may have had a bad rep in recent years, with lots of coffee lovers claiming it just isn’t the same as the coffee shop coffees. The key, we cannot stress enough, is the quality of the capsules you put in them. Our Nespresso compatible capsules come in 5 different bestselling flavours, strong or creamy enough to suit your preferences, and are 100% compostable – making them planet-friendly too!
The perfect coffee at home is perfectly achievable if you invest in good quality coffee and the right tools! We are still delivering your favourite blends to your door so don’t hesitate to shop online. Here’s wishing you many happy coffees in confinement!
