Whilst we’re all either enjoying or suffering through this heatwave, the hottest and earliest summer temperatures ever recorded, most of us are sparing a thought for the planet, which clearly seems to be angry and injured! Whilst the general figures of people recycling and being more mindful of their energy and pollution output is increasing, we still have a big problem on our hands – coffee. It’s a habit most of us have and it can cause a lot of waste.
Green Washing
Lots of companies are noting this mindful priority change among the general market, so coffee pods with green washed labels are being seen everywhere. The recycle logo is placed on pods which are only part-recyclable or only recyclable at certain places. For example, Nespresso offers a service in which you can drop off your used coffee pods to be recycled, but who has time for that? The truth is that too many people are popping coffee pods that can’t be recycled into their recycling bin or not finding recyclable coffee capsule options at all.
Making a Difference
At Novell Coffee, we wanted to make sure that environmentally friendly coffee is available for everyone. We don’t want you to have to go to great efforts to find environmentally friendly coffee capsules or have to go out of your way to recycle them. That’s why we’ve designed the Compostables range.
Compostables
We’ve taken the public’s love for Nespresso coffee machines to bring environmentally friendly coffee to the masses. Our Compostables, available in our popular Intenso flavour (bursting with aromas of cereal and vanilla), as well as a flavourful decaf alternative which retains all the taste and character of an espresso, are 100% biodegradable, leaving absolutely no trace after just 12 weeks. You can enjoy delicious, high quality coffee completely guilt free and you don’t have to go out of your way to dispose of them! Simply throw them in with your organic recycling when you’re done.
